Esta es la otra compañía que llevaré en nuestra campaña de la bolsa de Korsun, y viene a ser algo diametralmente opuesto a la anterior. La idea es utilizarla en caso de recuperar la iniciativa en la primera mini-campaña para embolsar la pinza sur de Konev y forzar el camino hacia Cherkassy, y en la segunda, si las condiciones son propicias, para encabezar la ruptura del cerco. Vamos a analizarla más a fondo:

This is the other company I will lead in our Korsun pocket campaign, as I wanted to play something diametrically opposed to the previous one. Should we retake the initiative in the first mini-campaign, I will muster all tanks available to encircle Konev's southern pincer and force our way to Cherkassy; in the second mini-campaign, the company will likely be committed to lead the breakout. Let's analyze it further:

On the attack: This is indeed an aggressive list focused on assaulting enemy positions, with plenty Schürzen-equipped medium tanks to conduct a two or three pronged attack in numbers. Recce teams, and smoke will screen our advance and our assault engineers, fitted with one or two flamethrowers will seize strongpoints and put dug in teams to the torch, pinning them down. On the defensive: The defense will be built around our tough assault engineers, freeing the Panzers to look for concealed firing spots while trying to outflank the enemy forces. I use to deploy the assault engineers, a platoon of Panzer IV, and either the Nebelwerfers (most likely) or another Panzer Platoon.

Natural enemies: It is no surprise that heavy tank companies are our bane, and in case of facing a battalion of IS-2 it would be wise to make room for a Platoon of Nashorns to boost our heavy AT capabilities and have the upper hand on long range firing duels. It should be noted that campaign equipment limitations prevent the forces inside the bag (us) from fielding Tigers or Panthers (Puma are not available, either). Likewise, a T-34 tankovy will be a hard nut to crack, and we would have to make a cunning use of terrain, smoke and Sturmtruppen to force them to move constantly, seeing themselves hampered through Hen and Chicks.
