With my German Army almost finished, I have recently turned my focus to feed my growing U.S. Company. Some time ago, I decided to start an Allied force to add more flexibility to our small gaming group, avoiding blue on blue games as far as possible. Thus, having collected German Armor and Infantry so far, I wanted to field an Allied mechanised company, and since I love M3 halftracks and M18 Hellcats, my bets were clear.

My initial thoughts centered around the Armored Rifle Company and Task Force A from 'Turning Tide', but then, 'Blood, Guts & Glory' showed up, and I couldn't help falling in love with Tank Destroyer Battalions. In addition, U.S. Army armored companies are pretty modular, and that means I can turn a Tank Destroyer Company into an Amored Rifle Company simply swapping the HQ and two Platoons (I plan to do that in the future).

The list is pretty straightforward. On the defensive, enemy tanks are going to pay a heavy toll to approach the dug in Armored Rifles... only to find that they have to deal with 5 Veteran 'zooks! On the attack, against infantry in prepared positions we have to take advantage of our superior mobility and Recce teams to dismantle enemy defenses piecemeal: first of all, their mobile assets, then gun teams, in order to prevent any harm to our assaulting Platoons (ARP and Stuarts). I would have loved to field the entire Company of 12 Hellcats, but It's quite difficult to build a balanced force that way!
