Panzerspäh 1945 (Sd. Kfz. 234/1 & Sd. Kfz. 234/4)

Una de las características más notables del 'Desperate Measures' es la (inesperada) inclusión de in montón de estupendos pelotones de Reconocimiento diferentes. Escogí los Puma sobre el resto gracias a su uso multipropósito (un PaK 40 móvil es algo muy serio). Además, me sobraba uno de mi trío original desde que Battlefront reconociese que las patrullas históricas de Puma eran de 2 vehículos, no de 3, y lo corrigiese en los libros.

One of the most interesting features from the 'Desperate Measures' sourcebook was the (unexpected) inclusion of many good Recce options. I chosed the Pumas over the rest due to their multi-purpose approach (a mobile PaK 40 is serious business). Also I had a surplus Puma from my original trio, that was in storage since Battlefront realised that the historical Puma patrols were comprised of 2 vehicles instead of 3 and revised it in the books. 

De esta forma, reutilicé mi Puma '122' añadiéndole una de las torretas 234/1 sobrantes de los blisters; un asunto más espinoso de lo que pensaba, porque ninguna encajaba adecuadamente en el anillo de la torre (tuve que rebajarlas profundamente con el cúter de modelismo). Las dejé en dunkelgelb para representar una torreta de repuesto tomada de algún vehículo fuera de combate, y añadí un par de toques para acercarlo al nivel de pintura de mis últimos trabajos (los Pumas fueron mis primeros vehículos pintados de FoW). Finalmente les di una apariencia polvorienta con 'Dust Effects' de AK. Para el Pakwagen estuve buscando referencias de la parka reversible del Heer que lleva la tripulación para pintarles apropiadamente.

So, I refurbished the Puma '122', by attaching one of my stocked 234/1 turrets; a tricky business, because none of them fitted the turret ring properly (I had to carve it out in depth with my hobby knife). I left it in dunkelgelb to represent a spare turret taken from a knocked out vehicle, and added a couple of finishing touches to get it in line with my improved painting style (Pumas were my very first FoW models). Finally I gave it a dusty overall look with 'AK Dust Effects'. For the Pakwagen I did some research about the Heer's reversible parka to paint the crewmen accurately.
