Antes de desplegar adjunté los morteros del Heavy Platoon al 2. Zug. Dispuse un pelotón Panzergrenadier en el Objetivo cercano, extendiéndolo sobre la colina para minimizar la infiltración. De la misma manera, el 1. Zug se atrincheró en el pueblo en una posición muy adelantada, dejando espacio para las emboscadas y para retirarse, ya que me imaginé que en el pueblo tendría lugar el ataque principal. Dejé las MG 42 en emboscada junto con los Nashorn, para aniquilar a la infantería y a los IS-2, respectivamente. Como 5º pelotón escogí a los morteros pesados para hacer fuego de contrabatería sobre la artillería soviética.
Before deployment, I attached the Heavy Platoon's mortars to 2. Zug, which took positions around the 'close' Objective, stretching over the hill to maximize lines of sight, thus minimizing infiltration. Likewise, 1. Zug dug in the village in a forward position, leaving room to fall back and spring the Ambushes, as I esteemed the main attack would take place in the village. I left the MG 42 in Ambush along with the Nashorns, to annihilate infantry and IS-2, respectively. As 5th Platoon I chose the heavy mortars to perform counter-battery fire on the menacing Soviet mortars.

El comandante soviético desplegó a lo largo de todo el frente, con la Compañía Strelkovy grande frente al pueblo junto a los Spetsnaz para realizar la infiltración y los IS-2. Al otro lado, la Compañía Strelkovy pequeña intentaría tomar la colina, y los ZIS, en el centro, prestarían apoyo donde hiciera falta. Naturalmente, los lanzallamas estaban asignados a la Compañía encargada de realizar la infiltración, que a falta de equipos de reconocimiento en el lado alemán, tuvo éxito.

The Soviet commander deployed throughout all the front, with the large Strelkovy Company in front of the village, along with the Spetsnaz (to conduct infiltration) and the IS-2. On the left wing, the small Strelkovy Company would try to seize the hill, and the ZIS, in the center, would support either side. All the flamethrowers were attached to the large Company to support the infiltration, that in the absence of recce teams on the German side, succeeded.

El primer turno no fue tan malo como había temido. Un par de errores en las filas soviéticas me permitieron retroceder con casi la mitad del 1. Zug aún con vida. Los dos lanzallamas que estaban en cabeza sólo pudieron acabar con dos de mis peanas, y aproveché la oportunidad del asalto de los Spetsnaz para hacer break off y alejarme de la Compañía Strelkovy, que me hubiese aniquilado si hubiera asaltado primero. El 1. Zug pasó la moral y siguió combatiendo.
The first turn was not as bad as I had feared. A couple of errors in the Soviet ranks allowed me to fall back with almost half the 1. Zug still alive. The pair of spearheading flame-throwers were able to burn only two stands down, and I took advantage from the Spetsnaz's assault to break off with 1. Zug and get away from the Strelkovy Company. The Udarny would have likely annihilated the defenders provided it had assaulted first. 1. Zug passed morale and kept on fighting.

Decidí revelar las 2 emboscadas de inmediato. Los Nashorn fracasaron estrepitosamente al lograr sólo un impacto, a 4+, que para colmo fue sólo un bailed, pero las ametralladoras estuvieron a la altura, y entre ellas y los restos del 1. Zug causaron importantes bajas a los soviéticos. El francotirador apareció desde el tejado de uno de los edificios y eliminó a una Maksim, especialmente molestas porque su gun shield absorbe muchos disparos que no van a parar a la infantería.
I decided to reveal both ambushes immediately. The pair of Nashorns failed miserably, only able to make a single hit, which got only an IS-2 bailed, but the MG-42 did not disappoint, and along with remains of 1. Zug caused significant casualties on the Strelkovy. The sniper killed a Maksim from one of the buildings. Soviet HMGs are quite a nuisance because their gun shields draw many shots from their fellow infantrymen.

Entre el último lanzallamas y los breakthrough guns de los IS-2, el 1. Zug es pulverizado en la fase de disparo. Fue una decisión imprudente, en mi opinión; habría sido un mejor movimiento disparar a las HMG o a los Nashorn. El comandante soviético decidió no asaltar al 1iC ante la imponente muralla del fuego defensivo.
The last flame-thrower team and the IS-2 kill 1. Zug to the last man in the shooting step. It was an unwise decision, IMHO; it would have been a better move to shot the HMGs or the Nashorns instead. The Soviet commander decided against assaulting the 1iC after checking the imposing wall of defensive fire.

El principio del fin. 24 dados de ametralladora después, la Compañía Strelkovy queda reducida a 4 peanas y el 1iC. El destacamento Spetsnaz es destruido por el 2. Zug. Los morteros pesados alemanes se despinean y acaban con uno de los soviéticos, dejándoles por debajo de 6. Los ZIS-2 son destruidos por los morteros ligeros y el francotirador. Uno de los IS-2 es abatido. Para forzar a los Strelkovy a chequear moral de nuevo no se me ocurrió nada mejor que lanzar a mi 1iC al asalto, teniendo en cuenta que sólo me enfrentaba a 2 dados de fuego defensivo. Un impacto, una salvación fallida, y mi Hauptmann se fue a criar malvas en la jugada tonta de la tarde.
The beginning of the end. 24 HMG dice later, the once mighty Strelkovy Company is reduced to 4 stands and the 1iC. The Spetsnaz detachment is destroyed by 2. Zug. German heavy mortars unpin and burn a Soviet counterpart down, leaving them below 6. Light mortars and the sniper kill the surviving ZIS-2, and one IS-2 is brewed up. In the Assault step, in order to force the Strelkovy to pass an additional morale check I recklessly threw my 1iC into action, taking into account that he would face only 2 defensive fire dice. One hit, a salvation failed... and my Hauptmann popped off in the dumbest play of the day.

¡Llegan las Reservas! Elegí el Pelotón de FlaK 36 para lanzarlo sobre los IS-2 a fin de mantenerles ocupados y evitar que asaltaran el objetivo impunemente. El Nashorn superviviente logró dos impactos sobre los IS... en vano. Pero era el día de la Luftwaffe. Llegaron, se atrincheraron sin esfuerzo y abatieron a uno de estos colosos... a larga. El último IS-2 decidió retirarse, al igual que la machacada segunda Compañía Strelkovy. ¡6-1 para los alemanes!
Reserves arrive! I chose the FlaK 36 Platoon to throw to the IS-2 in order to keep their hands full and prevent them from assaulting the Objective freely. The surviving Nashorn placed two hits on the IS... to no avail. But it was Luftwaffe's Day. They arrived, dug in effortlessly and lighted up one of these behemoths... at long range. The last IS-2 quit the field, as well as the mauled 2nd Strelkovy Company. 6-1 for the Germans!

Aftermath
La última batalla de la Campaña fue rápida y sangrienta. No fui capaz de crear una defensa en profundidad en el pueblo, y fui sobrepasado fácilmente. La infiltración es un arma de doble filo, que te permite realizar una penetración agresiva contra un punto débil, pero la fuerza de infiltración corre el riesgo de ser copada y destruida si no cuenta con más apoyo. Si la segunda Compañía Strelkovy hubiese sido lanzada tras la primera, mis posibilidades habrían disminuido considerablemente.
Por mi parte, los semiorugas lanzallamas estuvieron pésimamente colocados, ya que debería haberse incorporado al ala derecha para reducir a los molestos morteros a cenizas. 
The last battle of the Campaign was a fast and furious one. I failed to create a more in depth defensive position in the village, and it was easily overwhelmed. Infiltration is a double-edged weapon; it allows you to conduct an agressive thrust against a weak spot, but the infiltrating force is at risk of being cut off and destroyed if left isolated. Should the 2nd Strelkovy Company had been thrown after the first, my chances would have diminished dramatically.
