Entre unas cosas y otras, la segunda edición de nuestra Liga Walküre dará comiendo en breve. Nuevos jugadores, muchas más listas y retos mayores nos esperan. A lo largo de esta semana iré publicando las listas de los 8 participantes (15 en total). ¡Todo el mundo está deseando empezar cuanto antes! Permaneced conectados.

The approach to St-Lô: Turn #2

Nuestra Campaña de St-Lô consiste en dos campañas 'Axis of Attack' simultáneas:

• La primera: 'A través del Valle del Aure', tendrá como objetivo asegurar el pueblo de Couvains, a 5 millas al noreste de St-Lô de cara a la próxima ofensiva sobre la ciudad.

• La segunda: 'El avance hacia el bosque de Cerisy', buscará desalojar a las unidades alemanas del estratégico terreno elevado del bosque de Cerisy y asegurar así la cabeza de playa aliada frente a posibles contraataques.

Our current St-Lô campaign consists in two simultaneous 'Axis of Attack' Campaigns:

• The first one: 'Across the Aure Valley', will aim to seize the village of Couvains, 5 miles northeast of St-Lô for the forthcoming offensive on the city.

• The second one: 'The advance to Cerisy Forest', will see the G.I.s trying to oust the German units from the strategic high ground at Cerisy Forest in order to secure the Allied bridgehead.

Couvains #2

Desplegué en línea para aprovechar el movimiento Spearhead, con los Engineers en los camiones y los Armored Rifles al otro lado del río por falta de espacio. Los Sherman atraerán el fuego de los Panzers mientras los Stuarts se abrirán camino por el centro para flanquearlos. Mi oponente renunció a las emboscada por miedo al AOP y a mi velocidad, situó a los Panzergrenadiers de la Lehr en el objetivo cercano, a los mandos y la artillería en el lejano, y los Panzers se colocaron en cómodas posiciones de tiro.

I stretched my tanks in a thin line to exploit the TFA's Spearhead movement, with the Engineers mounted in their trucks and the Armored Rifles across the river due to lack of space. The Shermans will draw the fire of the Panzers as the Stuarts will break through the center to outflank them. My opponent gave up both ambushes, aware of the AOP and my speed. He placed the Lehr Panzergrenadiers on the Close Objective, while the 1iC, 2iC and the artillery took positions around the Far one. The Panzers were placed in good concealed shooting positions.

UAR Debabh Company (T-55)

Siendo un fan de los blindados soviéticos de la Guerra Fría, las hordas árabes del 'Fate of a Nation' enseguida captaron mi atención (vale, las preciosas miniaturas de Battlefront tuvieron algo que ver). Aunque creo que el libro está algo descompensado en favor de los israelíes, la oportunidad de alinear una fuerza considerable de la Guerra Fría era demasiado buena para dejarla escapar. Así que engañé a algunos amigos para entrar en ello, dejándoles a los poderosos (y asequibles) israelíes.

As a Soviet Cold War hardware fan, the UAR hordes from 'Fate of a Nation' quickly caugh my eye (the beautifully crafted Battlefront's T-55 played a crucial role too). Albeit I think the book is slightly unbalanced, with the Arabs on the receiving end, the opportunity to field a sizable Cold War force was too good to let it go to waste. So I tricked some of my friends into it and let them play the powerful (and affordable) Israelis.
