Resumen: 14 de Febrero, 1944. El General Stemmermann reúne a todos los Fallschirmjäger disponibles para encabezar una ruptura hacia el suroeste desde Komarovka / Novo-Buda y abrir el camino hacia Lysyanka.

El tercio central de la mesa está dominado por una gran colina norte/sur (Colina 239). Las casas de la pequeña villa de Pochapyntsi puede verse cerca del borde sur de la mesa, en el centro. Dos caminos de tierra salen del pueblo: la carretera norte/sur, que se dirige a Zhurzhynsti, y el camino del oeste, hacia Oktyabr (que aparece en el borde occidental de la mesa) y Lysyanka. El resto del terreno se compone de campos, bosques y balkas. Una compañía paracaidista británica de la 2nd Parachute Brigade ha sido desplegada urgentemente para reforzar el sector de Zhurzhyntsi y evitar que los alemanes logren romper el cerco.
The central third of the table is dominated by a large north/south hill (Hill 239). The outskirts of the small village of Pochapyntsi can be seen near the south table edge. Two dirt roads run from the village: the north/south road, that heads to Zhurzhynsti and the west road, towards Oktyabr (on the western edge) and Lysyanka. The rest of the table is covered with fields, forests and balkas. A British Para company from 2nd Parachute Brigade has been hastily deployed to strengthen the Zhurzhyntsi sector and prevent the Germans from breaking out.

Primero en desplegar, el comandante británico dispuso un pelotón de infantería en cada Objetivo (los Paras con los PIATs del HQ en el cercano y los Royal Engineers en el lejano), con la artillería adelantada y los 6pdr en Emboscada. El campo de minas fue colocado en el cruce de caminos, al norte de Pochapyntsi.
First to deploy, the British commander placed an infantry platoon in each Objective (PIAT-reinforced Paras on the 'close' Objective and the Royal Engineers on the 'far' Objective), with artillery and 6pdr in Ambush. The minefield was laid on the crossroads north of Pochapyntsi.

El comandante alemán optó por una aproximación "poco ortodoxa". Al frente, el Pelotón grande FJ y los Pionieers FJ, junto con los StuGs, apuntando claramente hacia el Objetivo 'cercano'. El 2. Zug fue desplegado muy atrás, y los morteros ligeros más lejos aún ... fuera de alcance (esto fue un error de cálculo). Dispuso el resto de la artillería la parte posterior, de forma poco agresiva y sin líneas de visión claras.
The German commander opted for an 'unorthodox' approach. He put the large FJ Platoon and the FJ Pionieers ahead, along with the StuGs, aiming clearly for the 'close' Objective. 2. Zug was deployed far behind, and the light mortars even farther... out of range (this was an unintended miscalculation). The rest of the Artillery was placed on the rear, without clear visibility lines.

Al final de este turno dimos por concluida la partida. Las fuerzas alemanas, diezmadas, fueron incapaces de tomar la Colina 239. ¡6-1 para los británicos!
At the end of this turn we called the game, with the German forces decimated and unable to seize the Hill. 6-1 for the British!

Aftermath
La partida en sí fue poco emocionante, ya que desde el principio estuvo condicionada por una falta de agresividad del comandante alemán. La artillería alemana estuvo pésimamente colocada, y a pesar de la cantidad de piezas y observadores, muchas baterías quedaron sin líneas de visión durante turnos enteros. En ningún momento aparecieron cortinas de humo que apoyasen el asalto o fuego de contrabatería que silenciase el mortífero monólogo de los 75mm británicos. Deshauciados, los FJ fueron llegando por oleadas y muriendo a los pies de la colina.
La Emboscada, por su parte, fue excesivamente exitosa por una falta de previsión, que expuso los flancos e incluso la retaguardia de los valiosísimos carros de forma trágica e innecesaria, algo que un pelotón de infantería hubiese evitado fácilmente ocupando el bosque.
The game itself was far from exciting, since from its very beginning was conditioned by a lack of German aggressiveness and planning. German artillery was poorly placed, and despite the amount of guns and observers, many batteries had no line of sight for entire turns. No smokescreens were raised to support the assault and no counter-battery fire was conducted to silence the deadly monologue of the 75mm guns. Unsurprisingly, the abandoned
FJ arrived and died in waves at the foot of the hill.
On the other hand, the Ambush was too successful thanks to a lack of foresight, which led to expose the flanks and even the rear of the most valuable StuGs, a tragic and unnecessary movement, something that an infantry platoon could have avoided by simply seizing the forest.
